AeroDIODE offers the choice between TTL/digital and Analog drivers. Select the TTL model if you need to work in On/Off mode : it gives better extinctions and the output power do not depend on the stability/noise of your voltage signal.
  • 19 Acousto Optic Modulator versions from 380 to 1700 nm covering the full spectrum
  • Standard RF frequencies are 80 MHz, 100 MHz and 200 MHz (all drivers are stock items).
  • It is possible to request a custom AOM RF frequency up to 350 MHz – contact us for such need.
  • 3 compatible AOM modulator RF driver models with digital and/or analog inputs  are available at 80, 100 or 200 MHz
  • These devices are ideal tools for modulating the intensity of laser light down to the nanosecond timing range
  • It is also used for shifting the frequency of the input light by a small value corresponding to the RF frequency.
  • The maximum input optical power can reach 15 Watt CW and 50 MW/cm²
  • High efficiency up to 88% in optimized beam conditions
  • High speed pulsing down to 8 ns rise/fall time

An AO modulator (Acousto Optic Modulator) is designed and optimized to modulate the intensity of light down to the nanosecond timing range.

AeroDIODE Acousto Optic Modulators  are used in  laser Q-switching and pulse picking applications, narrow line width laser measurements and many other applications related to precision operating in the nanosecond range.

Acousto Optic Modulators are also used as a fixed frequency shifter. They have the ability to slightly shift the central optical wavelength by a fixed value equal to the RF frequency (±80, ±100 or ±200 MHz) depending on the RF frequency applied to the modulator.

These Acousto Optic Modulators are used as stand-alone products as well as with other products in the AeroDIODE portfolio like :

Acoustic optical modulators are a high performance alternative to other modulator solutions such as Electro-Optic Pockels cells Modulators (offered by companies such as EKSMA Optics or Syndor technologies)
